What you tolerate.

This is my first entry into the world of political blogging. I am neither republican or democrat. My only concern is what is right correct for our nation and our people. Sometimes I'm sure I'll sound quite conservative probably sometimes to the right of either Rush or Hannity but at other times I'm sure some will think I'm somewhere to the left of Ed Asner and Al Franken. Hopefully most will be somewhere in the middle.

Years ago when I was in the USAF, a Colonel once said that "What you tolerate will happen." At the time I just kind of blew it off as just one of those throwdown lines you hear bigwigs use. But after thinking about it for a while, I thought, you know, he's right. What you tolerate will happen. If you have a dog and you let him urinate on the floor and you don't do anything about it, he will do it again. If you don't do anything about it the second time, he will do it again and the cycle repeats itself.

The same is true with domestic and foreign politics, the media, our jobs, and just about everything else in life including our spouse, children, our churches, `poor service in resturants and the list goes on and on. If you tolerate something, it will happen. It's not a matter of if it will happen it's a matter of when it will happen.

As stated in the description of this Blog, I will discuss those things we have tolerated in our lives and what the result of that tolerance has been.

Oh you may wonder why I chose The Old Prospector as my name. Well I used to prospect for gold back in my youth. Now I dig around and prospect for the truth. Trust me gold was easier to find than the truth.
